  6.                         BBS/Network Software Supported

  9.      Network members must use legally purchased or obtained Net Software
  10.      All Net Software must support the .Qwk/.Rep format.
  11.      Network members must use legally purchased or obtained BBS Software
  12.      PCBoard, Wildcat!, Spitfire, Gap, Etc.
  13.  
  14.      The Network administrator reserves the right to decline and/or terminate
  15.      access to the Network to those individuals failing to operate with the
  16.      properly registered or purchased software used for net mail operations.
  17.  
  18.      Net mail distribution will follow standard Network structure,
  19.      consisting of one Host board, Regional, Hubs, and Nodes.
  20.  
  21.      All systems pulling the Friends Network must carry, the F-Admin,
  22.      conference.

  24.  
  25.      Regional Hubs :  Must carry all Friends Conferences
  26.  
  27.               Hubs :  Besides the F-Admin and Moderators, Hubs may pull
  28.                       the conferences of interest.  If a downline system
  29.                       requests a conference, the Hub must make it
  30.                       available.
  31.               Node :  Nodes will make all requests for access to Friends
  32.                       conferences from their closest Hub, or the Hub of
  33.                       their choice.

  35.      It is the policy of the Friends Network, that all Regional's and
  36.      Hubs relay mail through their system if requested.

  39.                              Network Tag lines
  40.                              -----------------

  42.      Every Net Sysop Pulling "Friends Net" must include the City and State
  43.      in their Tag line.

  45.                          Guidelines For "Friends Net"
  46.                          ---------------------------
  47.  
  48.      1) Illegal Activities
  49.      ---------------------
  50.      Any user found to be using this conference for Illegal use, will be
  51.      removed. Such activities, but not limited to: the Illegal sale or
  52.      distribution of commercial software, any pornographic material
  53.      including .Gif's, or the coding of messages that may be used in any
  54.      other Illegal activities.
  55.  
  56.      2) BBS Ads and Commercial Advertisements
  57.      ----------------------------------------
  58.      It is asked that you not post any BBS or Commercial Advertisement
  59.      in  "Friends Net" Conferences, with the exception of the For-Sale
  60.      Conference. Hardware or Sortware vendors may post products for sale
  61.      either new or used as long as their complete Business Name and
  62.      location is listed in the ad.

  64.      The Administration Staff, Member Boards, or its assigns will not be
  65.      held responsible for ad's placed within the Friends Net. It is
  66.      advised that you check out the company or individual posting the ad
  67.      for relibility and quality.

  70.      3) No Aliases
  71.      -------------
  72.      The use of alias's will not be allowed on the "Friends Network".
  73.  
  74.      4) No Flames or Personal Attacks
  75.      --------------------------------
  76.      Anyone found to be abusive in nature, such as but not limited to, name
  77.      calling, insults, slanderous statements, lewd or obnoxious behavior
  78.      are to be removed from the conference.

  81.      5) Abusive Users or SysOps
  82.      ---------------------------
  83.      No offensive or abusive language. The use of any word, group of words,
  84.      expression, comment, suggestion, or proposal which is profane, filthy,
  85.      lewd, lascivious, obscene, indecent, or that is demeaning ethnically
  86.      or racially is strictly prohibited within "Friends Net"
  87.      Member SysOps must remove any users from the echoes for flaming and/or
  88.      fighting.

  90.      6) Moderation
  91.      --------------
  92.      Each conference will have a moderator that will monitor activity.
  93.      The moderator will have total control of the conference. If a
  94.      dispute arises that can't be resolved, the topic will be forwarded
  95.      to the Chief Moderator. If the dispute still can't be resolved, it
  96.      will be sent to Administration.

  98.      7) Suspensions
  99.      --------------
  100.      Users in violation of Network regulations will be suspended from
  101.      that conference for a period of 30 day's.
  102.      Second Offense after a 30 day suspension are grounds for permanent
  103.      removal from the Friends Network.
  104.  
  105.      Member Sysop's must remove any user for the period of suspension.
  106.      In extreme cases, any user that refuses to abide by Network Rules
  107.      will be locked out of all "Friends" conferences.

  110.      8) PCB Macros or @Codes
  111.      -----------------------
  112.      The use of PCB Macros or @Codes are not permitted in the Friends
  113.      Network.

  115.      9) Public/Private Messages

  120.      │    Pursuant to the  ELECTRONIC  AND  COMMUNICATIONS PRIVACY ACT  │

  123.      │  provided by  this system  for sending or receiving private  or  │
  124.      │  confidential messages.   The  System Operator  and assigns can  │
  125.      │  and may read all messages left by any user.                     │
